At Marengo Cave each team member plays a vital role in the guest experience. As an employee, you will have the opportunity to meet lots of visitors from all around the globe & work with some really great folks. Our staff must exhibit qualities that enhance the customer experience by making our guests feel welcome, appreciated and awed by the beauty found in “Indiana’s #1 Natural Attraction”.
Tour guides lead visitors through the cave providing information in a manner that engages guest interaction, answering questions in a friendly & professional manner, as well as promoting a high level of safety in their areas of responsibility.
You must be genuinely friendly & service oriented, with a strong work ethic and willingness to fulfill your work commitment.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years or older
- Must be available to work through Labor Day
- Must be available to work all holiday weekends, and most weekends through the season
- Participate in staff training
- Participate in periodic meetings and outings
- Friendly, enthusiastic, good with people and work well with others
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Maintain the cleanliness of facilities and grounds
- Assist in the stocking and cleaning of souvenirs and gifts

Guest Services
Provide exceptional customer service to our guests!
Sell souvenirs and tour tickets, schedule tours, direct and assist guests. Accountable for all money transactions. Direct and oversee guide staff and assist with maintaining the facilities and grounds. Assist in the stocking and cleaning of souvenirs and gifts.
Please note: Company policy states it is mandatory for ALL guest service staff to be trained, first and foremost, for tour guide position and be expected to guide as often as needed.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be trained for walking tours and be willing to guide when necessary
- Must be available to work through Labor Day
- Must be available to work all holiday weekends, and most weekends through the season
- Participate in staff training
- Participate in periodic meetings and outings
- Friendly, enthusiastic, good with people and work well with others
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Honest and responsible
- Cash register experience helpful
- Computer skills a must! Apple knowledge is a plus.
